Summer Family Activity Holiday 7 Nights
Saturday - Transfer from Biarritz/ Lourdes to Pouillon. Champagne and Canape reception by the pool. Relax and settle in before a 3 course dinner served on the terrace.
Sunday - Relax by the pool in the morning, enjoy a buffet style lunch on the terrace, perhaps do some local mountain biking in the afternoon. Cycle off to one of our local restaurants by the lake in Pouillon (or we will take you there and collect you at the end of your evening).
Monday - After breakfast head off to the fabulous coastal resort of St Jean de Luz to enjoy a freshly caught seafood lunch. Then it’s off for some Hawaiian canoeing (can be replaced with water skiing, sailing or windsurfing if you prefer), wander around the boutique shops or sunbathe on the glorious sandy beaches. Back at Houtsak Ina indulge in a sumptuous BBQ on the terrace and enjoy some local wines.
Tuesday – After breakfast head off to the foothills of the Pyrenees for a picnic either by the river or we can drive up to a fairly exclusive mountain top where we can enjoy stunning views and scenery and maybe even see some vultures close up. Then spend the next 2 hours charging the white waters on the mountain river - either in a raft, or, for the really adventurous in 2 man hot-dogs or single kayaks – or just sit by the river with your book and take in the scenery. Those who want to stay by the pool are more than welcome. Enjoy another BBQ back at Houtsak Ina
Wednesday – After breakfast those that would like to do some local pony trekking/ horse riding will head off with Benn whilst the others relax by the pool. Once the riders return we can head off into Peyrehorade and experience one of the oldest markets in France today. Buffet lunch back in Pouillon, followed by an afternoon by the pool/ local mountain biking. Dinner at a local restaurant back in Pouillon. We are happy to babysit if the adults wish to have some grown up time. We can also serve the children an earlier supper.
Thursday – Head off to Seignosse, one of the many glorious sandy surfing beaches in the Landes. Have a 2 hour lesson from our private surf instructor, enjoy lunch at a beachside cafe and then enjoy the beach and sun bathing in the afternoon (Benn will bring beach games and boogie boards). Enjoy an evening meal on the coast at one of our recommended restaurants (Chez Minus in Hossegor does brilliant moules frites and king sized prawns fresh off the plancha).
Friday - Either spend the day by the pool or head off to another glorious sandy beach in the Landes for some bodyboarding or beach games. Enjoy your final dinner at Houtsak Ina. Benn is a keen amateur photographer and will endeavour to capture your bravest and funniest shots and prepare a slide show tonight and a disc for you to take away with you.
Saturday – Relax at Houtsak Ina, have final swim, enjoy a hearty brunch before heading off to Biarritz/ Lourdes for your flights home.
The price for the above itinerary is €699 per person and €499 for children under 14 and €299 for the under 6’s. €99 for children under 3 (subject to total group numbers).
This includes all transport and organisation whilst in France, all meals taken at Houtsak Ina, all picnic lunches and the above-mentioned activities (except Horse Riding – pay at the stables, €20 for 1.5 hours).
